Sausage and broccoli is a typical Neapolitan dish, as well as the second dish par excellence of Neapolitan Sunday. I think I have said it on more than one occasion, but I repeat it in case someone still does not know it, broccoli are a typical Campania vegetable similar to turnip greens, with a slightly bitter taste, a saying goes "A sasicc 'e' 'a mort d' 'o friariell' "(Sausage is the death of broccoli) and in fact they are often served together. How to make sausage and broccoli
Clean the broccoli, removing the stalks and the toughest leaves.
Cook the sausages in a pan with a little water.
After about 10 minutes, prick the sausages with a fork.
Remove the water and add a drizzle of oil, then blend with the white wine and brown for about 10 minutes.
In a separate pan, brown a clove of garlic and a red pepper in the oil.
Put the broccoli, add salt and cover with a lid.
As soon as the broccoli are softened (softened in Neapolitan), remove the lid and continue cooking over high heat for another 5 minutes.
Add the sausages in the pan with the broccoli and leave to flavor for another 5 minutes.
Serve the sausage and broccoli in a serving dish.
